Fabulous London Comic Con Weekend!

MCM London Comic Con finished last weekend. It was absolutely wonderful!

Thank all the people who visited me and supported my artworks. Your support makes me go further!

I'd like to announce one amazing things happened during this convention which is my latest art print -Betsutengai- got sold! It was high quality print on a semi-glossy photo paper, which made it the best product on my table. I really appreciate and very happy this dear customer liked it and brought it home. Thank you very very much!

There's another special thing happened that I met three Taiwanese girls in this event, one of them was even from the same hometown as me! I'm really happy. :D

I got some interesting commissions like a yaoi request, LoveLive! and a couple of original characters, which were very fun to draw.

Manga portrait is a huge part in the convention, too. Here are my favourite portraits from each day.

At last, I'd like to show you my collection from other artists. They are all very talented and hard working.

Supermarkedonians!!

Hey! Guess what's that about? It's my first trio-collaberating project! Yeah!

I rarely do collabs, not to mention trio-collaberating! Very excited!
The other two great artists are TH Yu and Oniphoenix. Well, I know, our styles are very different from each other. But that's the fun of it! To mix different styles together and blend the creativity out! We are going to do a series of character design, and we will reveal those characters in October 2013 MCM in very nice prints.

So far I've just done one character, there are still three more to go. I'm so slow so I have to work extra hard to make everything on time. Anyway! Please do check our teaser out. At this stage we only reveal the name of this project and introduce the three artists. Very soon we will reveal more detail about it. Enjoy!

MCM Expo London in May 2013

I had a very good weekend in this MCM Expo! I met many new friends and received many fabulous artworks from them. I got lots of nice commissions. I even exchange doujinshi books with one of my favourite artist. It was amazing!

Inking with Wacom Inkling

Wacom Inkling, this gadget arrived my place some time ago. Recently TH Yu and I just unpacked the box together and tried to use it. I surprisingly found out that this gadget is very suitable for me!

It has two parts: a digital pen and a receiver. The receiver will detect the movement of the digital pen and record the path, just like a live scanner. By the time you finish inking, your lineart already in the receiver and ready to be imported into your computer. Superb!

What makes it more amazing is, the receiver has layer function. You can do part lineart drawing for the first layer, and then ink some other part for another layer. This function is perfectly fit my drawing habit because I always like to draw the face and body into two different layers. So this is just great for me!

TH Yu filmed my test drawing and made it a 2 minutes video. Today I made a shorter version into 30 seconds. Have a look if you're interested.^^ (2-min version's here)

Btw, I'll do Cat Ears manga portrait in MCM Expo London. This is also a practice of it.^__^

I had a great time in MCM Expo London this October. As usual, I shared table with my husband TH Yu and sold my artworks & taking commissions. Thank you all the people for dropping by, purchasing, and commissioning me.:)

Dear Clover Li and Dandan had a table next to us.

Dr. Who's area was just right next to us. I love their wall of posters. That looked fantastic!

Conventions in spring time

I attended three conventions in the spring time from April to May. They are Comica Comiket, CamCon and MCM Expo. This summer seems to come particularly late, but luckily we had very warm sunny day in all these days! Here are some photos sharing with you.


[ Comica Comiket ]

I shared a table with TH Yu and Clover Lee. However Clover could not make it, so Dandan came to help. Thank you Dandan!

This my latest artwork - Meroshitsuji.
I drew Mello and Near with Kuroshitsuji's costumes.

This is Chinese Festival series collaborated with Clover. Every festival has a story in the past. Some of them are very important in Chinese culture, and we'd like to introduce them by drawing them in manga style.

This is new product called Ramdon Faces. Collaborated with TH Yu.

[ CamCon 2012 ]

CamCon is the very first convention held in Cambridge. But it didn't feel like a first one. It was very well organised and we had a very good time there!

I opened manga portrait commission in this con and got some commissions from many cool people. Here are some pictures sharing with you. I'm sorry that I cannot put all the pictures here, thank you everyone who commissioned me.:)

[ MCM Expo ]

This MCM Expo was the busiest con I've ever had in the UK. Like in CamCon, I also opened manga portrait commission and actually got quite a bit orders. It was a great time drawing many different people, just like doing the setting of characters. I even got commissions drawing families. It was amazing. I had a lot of fun!

The other great thing is that my lastest doujinshi - Vodka Flavoured Christmas Eve - was sold out!! It was amazing! Thank you very much for your support!

The capacity of Excel is incredible! Tons of people with fabulous costumes gathered in this big place, absolutely made it the realm of Manga! I love to watch people in steampunk costume. It looks so powerful and so cool!!:)
