Thunderbolt Fantasy - Twitter sketches bunch

This week I've been drawing Thunderbolt Fantasy doujin comic every evening after work. The CP I'm drawing is 殤不患 x 凜雪鴉 (Shō Fu Kan x Rin Setsu A)♥ This pair is really cute!

Okay, come back to my story, it's going to have five pages. There will be a five to six pages sequence after this one. I'm thinking of publishing them to a doujin book in A5 size with total 14-16 pages. Thunderbolt Fantasy is not widely known yet, so I'm not sure if I should publish it. (I'm afraid no one's gonna buy it…) Maybe I'll simply do paid digital download in my Etsy shop.

Anyway, it's a good chance to try out Clip Studio Paint for something I love. I've never used it for comics yet. I'm gonna finish this story first and decide publish thing afterwards. Hope to update soon, and of course I'll translate it to English.☺

Hsiao and Yi （西門笑與西門義）

Last time when I drew "The distance between four and twelve", I was inspired by a series of romance novels written by Yuching. Now I have just drawn another piece inspired by the same novelist but from a different series.

The same thing about the two pairs I drew is they both appear in each series often, but there's never a complete story about themselves. So we (readers) have to find out every paragraphs of them from every books to make a picture of the pairs. The reason why the author felt reluctant to write was because the publisher meant to publish "men and women" romances. Therefore those yaoi kind wouldn't be published and that's why they were hidden in the other books, with the lightest hint.

This picture is called "Hsiao and Yi" which is based on their names: Hsimen Hsiao and Hsimen Yi. Yes, they have the same surname - Hsimen, which means they are brothers, but non-blood related. Because they are adopted kids in Hsimen family. Hsiao is a swordsman and good at martial arts. Yi is a business man. So I drew a sword by Hsiao and a abacus by Yi.

Anyway, those two series are my favourite novels. If possible I want to draw more of them.^__^

I'm now a big fan of Thunderbolt Fantasy as well. So you'll see more of this kind of images coming.^__^

最近重溫于晴大的聶家系列小說，對聶四和聶十二這一對真是揪心加牽掛加怨念！無限期待于大肯重新執筆將他們的故事完結。對於粉絲們紛紛推測誰男誰女的同時，我的內心毫不妥協地認為從來沒有誰是女生，他們都是男兒身。如果不是何來掙扎？何來看到“斷袖之癖”時反彈如此之大？但是于大表明不寫之餘，連非官方的閒聊口風也如此之緊，時日久了，我真心覺得于大說了他們會有完美結局就已經讓我感到非常欣慰了，細節沒有關係，真的。


我內心的無限懷念逼著我google了許多于粉發表的關於此兄弟的分析加感想，也不放過任何于大提到的關於此二人的文章，終於今天在于大部落格看到一丁點曙光似的蛛絲馬跡！某網友在2012年的發文“夢魂相思”（關於4*12）底下留言寫下自己心得：

應該說，在20年前這類作品較少見，隨著時代進步，各式題材都出現了，連機器人都可以談戀愛了，我相信在20年前這種稿子是會被退的^^。對，以前我有想寫但被朋友勸阻了。



言下之意就是聶四和聶十二的題材在過去是會被退稿的題材、被勸阻的題材，也就圓了我內心最期盼的那樣子，今日我實在太開心了！（轉～）

Ps. 由於于晴部落格裡面的聶家番外“夜夢魂牽之十二相思”是比較直白的暗示，所以用了劉過的四字令/醉太平題詞（前面幾句描寫女人容貌的我就拿掉了XD）。原詞：

Icy Flame Pre-order

My lastest doujinshi Icy Flame is finally has its happy end. I'm very happy that I completed it and did not give up in the half way.^^ It's a huge work! Wow!=w=

I'm really grateful for all my DA friends' support all the one-and-half year! Because of them, I can keep on going to this stage! Thank you very much!!^___^

About Icy Flame Pre-Order, because MN fans are not a very big group now, so I won't make many copies. I'll open Icy Flame Pre-Order from now until 20 Jan 2013, and only print the same amount of the orders. I may print a little more in case there are late comers.^^

Memes

Well, originally, a meme means "an idea, behavior or style that spreads from person to person within a culture." In the fandam, artworks with a simple idea spread from person by person, too, with a simple template. That's how we use memes. Here I tried to do two memes that looked very interesting to me.

1. Right is Wrong

We usually draw with the dominant hand, but we don't know how the image would look like if we draw with the other hand. Now here is a challenge to test how good your non-dominant hand can draw. :)
Hum, I think my non-dominant hand is not too bad.^^

Idle talk

"Ai no Kusabi" is a Japanese yaoi novel written by Rieko Yoshihara. There was OVA released in 1994. And now a new version is on progress. The first episode was just released. It is very beautiful and well made. I like the script a lot! Can't wait for the next one.:)

Also recently, I'm slowly consuming Tiger and Bunny and Loveless, too. (I found out that Loveless is a bit hard to understand in the beginning.^^") Plus my unfinished doujin work. What a busy year 2012! =w=

New page of Icy Flame

After those busy days attending the cons in October and November, I finally have time to continue Icy Flame. I did two pages, one is with colour.:)

I drew some roses on this picture. I love the red of roses. It presents passion, a romance, a true love. Roses are not easy to draw for me, and I spent lots of time on them. But it's worthy it. I'm quite happy with the final image.:)

Now the story is going to chapter 3. Follow the story in my deviantART. :)

The Italian version of "Vodka flavoured Christmas Eve."

It is amazing to see the Italian version of my dojin. Now the Italian version can be seen in Teriel's blog. She wrote a lovely introduction which made my story more attracting.:)

As the spanish version, I did the new cover in Italian. NiniveShyal and Teriel translated all the pages and completed the dialogues which looked so so good! I really appreciate it.:))

The Spanish version of my dojin has come out.

I am very glad that the Spanish version of my dojin has been done. Actually I'm excited!:)) It's done by Sanksank who is a friend from deviantART. She typed the dialogue very neatly and pretty. Thank you very much.:)

This is my first time to create English dojin, and the lovely responses have much exceeded my expectation. I appreciate everything from you.:))

I am a big fan of Mello/Near

This is my latest dojin "Vodka Flavoured Christmas Eve".

Please Note that this post contains BL/YAOI stuffs.

I used to draw Death Note fanarts and dojinshi back in Taiwan, and somehow I particularly loved to draw the second section of Death Note which is Mello and Near playing the main roles. And I love this pair (I call it MN) very very very~~ much!! I have a whole gallery of these two!!

Although I stopped drawing them for almost four years, now because of the participation in deviantART I started drawing this pair again. I guess I was stimulated by many great MN artworks, and I still love Mello very much, therefore I could pick up the motivity very soon. No matter how less people care about Death Note, not to mention the small amount of MN lovers, I wanted to draw what I love.

I roughly finished a MN dojin before Christmas, for Mello. Because according to original settings, Mello had his last birthday and Christmas of his life in 2010. And I wanted to make his last holiday greatly joyful and unforgettable! I wanted to give him the biggest present ever! So I wrote a short plot about him and Near and quickly had it done.

I uploaded the story to deviantART and got several nice responses.:) Now the story is going to be translated into Spanish and probably Italian as well. I've done the Mandarin version, too, so totally I may have my dojin with four different languages, that is utterly cool!!

Here I want to specially thank Georgia who helped me with English collation. We met each other in MCM Expo in October and she has a deviantART account, too. When I asked for help with my English dialogue through there, she jumped out immediately. Thank you very much!!:))
